the 5th Districts Fishing 4 Freedom Event
honoring Gold Star Families and Veterans
with service related injuries.
Each year the Post family
participates in the Special Olympics
event held for challenged students
throughout the county.
The Post family volunteer at the Trinka Davis Veterans
Clinic by greeting veterans as they come in for their
appointments, notifying veterans regarding their next
scheduled appointment,  and holding Bingo events for
the veterans living at the Trinka Davis Village
.

The American Legion Post 143 Family
participated in the 1st Annual Job Fair
sponsored by the GA Dept of Labor.

Frank Joswick and two staffers from the indoor gun
range at Shot-Spot hold up the M1 Garand and AR-15
rifles that are being raffled off as part of Post 143's
fundraiser  Drawings will take place on Dec 21, 2017.
Joe Harrod and Howard Scarboro were also present.
Post 143 participated in a Halloween Trunk or
Treat event at the First Baptist Church of Temple  
Cmdr. Ted Merriss along with JSSP Chair Frank Joswick present certificates to
CHS Rilery Team members for Marksmanship Excellence exhibited during  the
Legion's 28th Annual 2017-18 Junior 3-Position Air Rifle Tournament.
Cmdr. Merriss also presented Head Coach Mike Lewis with a monentary gift for
the  the school's Air Rife Program.
